Payment processing and card machines, from the company that builds your software

One tap ties it all together.

A debit machine that also takes every major credit card, set up for your counter, your table or your truck. RKP Pay is card processing, payment terminals and POS from RKP Atlantic — the people behind EnAffaire — with every fee on your statement explained line by line.

BBB Accredited A+ Serving Canadian businesses since 2016

Which debit machine fits your business?

The right card machine depends on where the payment happens. These are the ones we set up most:

  • Countertop — for a till that stays put. Clover Mini takes tap, chip and swipe and runs a small POS on the same screen.
  • Portable, pay at the table — for restaurants and service calls. Clover Flex and the PAX A920Pro print the receipt in the customer’s hand.
  • Full POS station — for busy counters. Clover Station Duo gives the customer their own screen.
  • Unattended — PAX A80 for fixed lanes, Clover Kiosk for self-ordering.
  • No hardware at all — Tap to Pay on iPhone turns an iPhone into a contactless payment terminal.

Debit, Interac and credit on one payment terminal

Every machine we supply takes Interac debit, Visa, Mastercard and American Express, by tap, chip or swipe, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. Debit and credit settle to the same account, so one terminal and one statement cover all of it.

What a credit card machine really costs

The price of the box is the small number. The big one is the processing rate on every sale. We quote cost-plus (interchange-plus): the card network’s own cost and our margin appear as separate lines, so you can see exactly what each card costs you and compare it with what you pay now.

Processors we work with

We work with several major processors, including Elavon, Fiserv (Clover) and Nuvei, so the machine and the rate are matched to your business rather than to one company’s price list.

Common questions

Can one machine take both debit and credit cards?

Yes. Every machine we supply takes Interac debit and the major credit cards, by chip, tap or swipe, plus mobile wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay.

What is the difference between a debit machine and a payment terminal?

Nothing, in practice. Debit machine, credit card machine, card terminal and payment terminal are names for the same device: the one your customer taps or inserts a card into.

Can I take card payments on my phone instead?

Yes. With Tap to Pay on iPhone, an iPhone accepts contactless cards and wallets with no extra hardware. It suits low-volume or on-the-go sales; most counters still want a dedicated machine.

How much does a debit machine cost to run?

The machine is the small part. What you really pay is the processing rate on every sale, so we price both together and show the card network's cost and our margin as separate lines. Send us a statement and we will put it next to what you pay now.
