Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This site is operated by RKP Atlantic Business Services, a trading name of 687441 NB Inc., 105-69 Cap Bimet Blvd., Grand-Barachois, NB E4P 6X5, Canada. You can reach us at [email protected], (506) 870-8499, or toll-free at 877-212-0562.

We are an independent sales agent for merchant services. We help businesses set up card acceptance with acquirers and processors such as Elavon, Clover and Nuvei, and we supply and support the terminals and POS software that sit on top of those accounts.

2. What this site does not do

atlbiz.biz does not process payments and never asks you for cardholder data. There is no checkout on this website. We do not ask for, collect, or store card numbers, expiry dates, CVV codes or PINs anywhere on this site.

If you are already a merchant, your customers’ transaction data is handled by your acquirer or processor on their own systems, under their agreements with you and under the PCI DSS rules that apply to them. This policy does not cover that; their privacy policy does.

3. What we collect

If you send us the contact form

Your name, email address, your message, and the page you came from.

If you send us a statement for a cost analysis

Your name, business name, email address, any message, and the file you attach. That file is normally a merchant processing statement, which typically shows your card volumes, transaction counts and the fees you are being charged. We ask for it because it is the only way to give you a real number instead of an estimate.

If you apply for financing

The application asks for your legal business name and any operating name, business address, phone, email, how long you have been in business, monthly card volume, your current processor, the amount you are asking for, what it is for, your preferred repayment structure, any statements you attach, and any notes you add. The form carries a consent checkbox, and ticking it is how you tell us we may share that information with financing partners in order to get you an offer.

If you apply to work with us as a sales agent

Your name, email address, phone number, your message and any file you attach.

If you are just reading the site

Standard web request data reaches our host and our CDN: IP address, browser and device type, the pages you asked for, timestamps and referring page. We use it in aggregate to understand traffic and to keep the site up.

4. Cookies and local storage

This site sets a googtrans cookie and a site_lang value in your browser’s local storage when you pick a language, so the site stays in that language as you move around. That is the only thing we store on your device for our own purposes.

Google Analytics and Cloudflare set their own cookies or identifiers as described below. We do not set advertising cookies on this site and we do not build cross-site profiles of visitors.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser. The language preference will simply stop persisting.

5. Third parties on this site

These are the services this website depends on, and what each one sees:

• Formspree — delivers every form on this site to our inbox. It receives whatever you typed and any file you attached. Formspree is a United States service.
• Google Analytics 4 — aggregate traffic measurement. It sees page views, approximate location, device and browser.
• Google Translate — renders the site in languages we do not maintain by hand. When it is active, page text is sent to Google for translation.
• Cloudflare — serves and protects the site, filters malicious traffic, and provides basic aggregate traffic statistics.
• Omnilo — the chat and translation widget. Omnilo is also our own product; anything you type into the chat window reaches us through it.

Each of these handles data under its own privacy policy as well as this one.

6. Where your information is stored

Our website and mail are hosted on servers located in Germany, behind Cloudflare’s global network. Form submissions pass through Formspree in the United States before reaching our inbox. That means information you send us is stored and processed outside Canada, and while it is in another country it is subject to that country’s laws, including lawful access by its authorities. If you would rather not send something through the website, phone us instead.

7. Why we are allowed to hold it

Because you gave it to us for a purpose you chose — asking a question, requesting a cost analysis, applying for financing, or applying to work with us — and we use it for that purpose. The financing application carries an explicit consent checkbox for the one thing that goes further than that: passing your details to financing partners.

8. Who else we share it with

We share your information in three situations, and no others:

• With an acquirer or processor, when you have asked us to set up or price a merchant account and submitting your details is how that gets done.
• With financing partners, only if you ticked the consent box on the financing application.
• With the service providers listed in section 5, to the extent they need it to run the site.

We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not hand it to advertisers.

9. How long we keep it

Enquiries and the statements you send us are kept while we are working with you and for as long afterwards as we need them for our business records and to meet legal and tax obligations. When information is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it to us for, we delete it. If you want something removed sooner, ask and we will tell you what we can delete and what we are required to keep.

10. Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and withdraw a consent you previously gave — including the financing-partner consent — by writing to [email protected]. We will respond within the time federal privacy law allows.

If you are not satisfied with how we handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. If you are in Quebec, you also have rights under provincial privacy law and may contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

11. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, sits behind Cloudflare, and the forms are protected against automated abuse. We keep what you send us in accounts that only we can reach. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we hold as little as we can for as short a time as we can, which is the only security measure that never fails.

12. Children

This is a website about merchant services for businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

13. Changes to this policy

If we change how this site handles information, we will change this page and update the date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than slipped in.
